Sie existiert als Projekt von 8-12 Künstlern. – „The ideal marriage of nihilist gangsters and technophiliac agrophobes.“ – wie sie sich selbst bezeichnen. Dies ist die ganze Mischung aus Broadway Music und Kurt Weill und Brecht Songs, Big Band Sound, the Clash und Dexys Midnight Runners. Louis Armstrong und the Gun Club, Fats Domino und the Pogues. Soetwas kann eigentlich nur in New York entstehen und genau von dort kommen sie … diese Bandist einmalig und könnte die charmante, zynische Antwort sein auf stumpfe Raves und langweilige Pop Musik. Mit Witz, Poiltik und Partylaune haben World/inferno sich Ihre eigene einmalige Nische geschaffen … dies ist das ganze Programm! New York, Paris, London, Berlin und zurück. Dies ist der Vaudeville Punk auf den Ihr immer gewartet habt. Die ist THE WORLD/INFERNO FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY!!! The World/Inferno Friendship Society spielen in euerer Stadt -mur eine Nacht- wir haben nichts zu verleiren, also kommt und staunt und tanzt … wir sehen uns dort!
